How we researched this
Last checked: 2026-11-07.
Sources reviewed: operator-owned location and service pages, operator landing and information pages, the operator’s homepage listing, third-party directory listings, search engine result snippets, and a related-search query list.
We made no on-site visit, held no staff interview, did not verify prices independently, analysed no review text, and ran no booking test; the set draws on only three web domains and includes no independent review platform coverage.

Kip Melbourne West services
Kip’s Melbourne West page lists Dog Boarding, Cat Boarding and Pet Transport as its services. Kip’s dog boarding and cat boarding pages describe the same site and the same three services, so the service list is consistent across the operator’s own pages.
Kip’s puppy boarding page lists puppy rooms from $55 per day and includes door-to-door transport, indoor and outdoor rooms, grassy yards with bushwalks, and free photo and video updates. The same page describes spacious grounds, secure dig-proof fencing and daily security checks. These are Kip’s own descriptions, and the research did not test them on site.
Dog boarding Melbourne
Dog boarding carries the most detail in the source set. Kip’s dog boarding page lists a temperature-controlled room, ROYAL CANIN meals included, daily play and enrichment, regular health checks, and free photo or video updates. The Melbourne West location page adds a complimentary hydro bath before going home for longer stays.
The Bayside listing describes premium dog daycare and boarding in Moorabbin. The Melbourne South East listing shows a Dandenong South address and contact details, but the inputs contain no service description for it. Daycare at Melbourne West is less settled: Kip’s LLM info page lists Dog Daycare as a Melbourne West service, while the official location page does not, and a LocalityBiz directory listing reportedly includes daycare too, though that source is rated low confidence.
Warning: The source set does not settle whether Melbourne West offers daycare. Confirm it with the site before planning weekday drop-offs.
What to watch: boarding and pet transport are stated consistently across Kip’s pages, while daycare at Melbourne West is not.
Kip Melbourne West prices
The source set does include prices, and every one of them comes from Kip’s own pages. All amounts are in Australian dollars. Melbourne West is listed from $55 on the cat boarding and dog boarding pages, and the Kip homepage lists Melbourne South East from $51. The location page lists the Seniors Suite for small dogs aged 7 and over, under 12kg, from $66 per day.
Extras sit on top of the starting rate. Door-to-door transport costs $35 one way and runs Monday to Friday, subject to availability, with no service on public holidays; the driver contacts the owner with an estimated arrival time the day before. Medication administration adds $6 per pet per day, and the medication comes in a marked vet bag covering the full stay.
Tip: Ask the site to confirm current rates before booking. The figures above are Kip’s published numbers, and the research did not check them against a live booking.
The trade-off: the from-$55 figure is a base rate, and transport and medication are charged separately, so the starting price on its own does not show the full cost of a stay that uses them.
Kip Melbourne West reviews
The source set contains no review text, no review categories, and no independent review coverage at Tier 1 or Tier 2. What exists are rating figures. Kip’s location page shows a 4.9 Google rating from 206 reviews, and a WhoToHire trades listing shows 4.9 from 213 reviews. A LocalityBiz listing shows 4.9 from 185 ratings.
Two customer quotes are published on Kip’s own pages. Kasey McClay wrote on the Melbourne West location page:
The staff really seem to care – and made an effort to answer any questions we had.
Kasey McClay, customer
An anonymous customer wrote on the puppy page:
The facility is fantastic, set close to nature with plenty of space, making it both comfortable and enriching for all the pups.
Anonymous customer review
Editor’s note: Both quotes sit on Kip’s own pages, so they are selected by the operator and do not represent a sample of independent reviews.
The catch: the rating counts differ by source (206 on Kip’s page, 213 on WhoToHire, 185 on LocalityBiz), and the source set offers no independent consensus on service quality.
Kip Melbourne South East
The Melbourne South East listing gives its address as 59-61 Ordish Rd, Dandenong South, VIC 3175, a phone number of +61 3 9768 2214, and an email address of melbournese@kip.com.au. The inputs give no service description for this site, so this article cannot say which services it runs.
Kip’s homepage lists the site from $51, the figure used in the price comparison above. For an owner choosing between Kip sites, the suburb and phone number are the two details this listing supplies.
What this means: an owner in Dandenong South can match this site by suburb and then call for its service list before deciding.
